Lovely lunch stop here today. Chosen because of its location as a convenient place to meet, as much as anything. Dog friendly table booked the evening before, and we were warmly and quickly greeted and seated on our arrival. We were in a bit of a rush and felt that service could have been slightly faster maybe, although, having now tasted all the food we ordered, I think there was real care and attention paid to its preparation so that is bound to take more time than some more 'frozen-food-reliant' places. The quality of the ingredients seemed first class, especially the cold meats and sausagemeat in the scotch egg. Beautifully garnished and presented, the flavours were beautifully combined for the sharer platter. We chose the bakewell tart and apple crumble for pudding and they were fitting ends to our meal. The setting of the pub is amazing too! It seemed too close to the M4 to feel so village-y with a huge green space and pond. We'll certainly be back

Lovely situated country pub overlooking a pond and village green. The Roast was incredible! Best Roast Chicken I've ever had.

Nice gastro pub. Visited a few times for large parties and always delivered. Food and drinks are good. Service is on point but could do with a little more finesse to be on par with the excellent food.

As someone who is visiting the UK, I really enjoyed this place. Not only did the atmosphere just yell traditional UK pub, it was a great place to eat. The food was amazing, the service was excellent, and the people were amazing. Will visit this place again next time I come visit.

Had a lovely meal here last Saturday. Our food was delicious - the half lobster was perfectly cooked. Great kids menu - our 2 really enjoyed theirs which were thoughtfully brought out before the adults. Atmosphere in the garden was idyllic, we were very well looked after by Luke and the team. A special mention for helping jump start the car when we left! Very much looking forwards to returning for the Sunday roast!

The Food was fantastic- we had the beef and venison with roast carrots and cabbage with a side of special potatoes. Whilst not cheap the taste was fantastic and a reasonable portion. Unfortunately as they were very busy they only had three staff serving and hence was slow but worth the wait. Really recommend.

This restaurant blew my socks off! I was there with 3 other friends and no one had any complaints. They had plenty of Gluten Free options for my friend as well as good Guinness. The steaks looked amazing and my chicken was very moist and tender (maybe too much garlic). The scotch egg was arguably the show stopper - we got two for the table and everyone was blown away 10/10 would order again. The STP (sticky toffee pudding) was stupendous. Really jaw dropping and the gluten free version was also a crowd pleaser. Will be back and thank you for a great meal.

Excellent quality of food. Service was good. The T-bone dish for 2 was superb. Difficult to find pubs with such care and attention to detail. Keep it up. We will be back again soon.
